The care and maintenance for these products all depends on what you choose. Hardie products are all painted and although cleaning them annually can help to extend the life of your exterior; it is still suggested to repaint every 5-10 years. This time frame depends on the location of your home, in direct sunlight will require a sooner paintjob. Vinyl products are essentially maintenance free as far as painting goes but should be cleaned/pressure washed annually for the best results.
